Easter Day, the day on which, according to the Canonical gospels, Jesus rose from the dead after his crucifixion on
Good Friday, is usually called
Easter Sunday or simply
Easter. It is also sometimes referred to as Resurrection Day, Resurrection Sunday or
Pascha.
Easter Day always falls on a Sunday. The earliest possible date is March 22, the latest possible date is April 25.
