Lammas, or Lammas Day, is a Christian holiday celebrated in some English-speaking countries in the Northern Hemisphere every year on August 1.

The term is derived from the words "loaf", which relates to bread, and "Mass", which relates to the Eucharist. The day is thus also known as Loaf Mass Day. A loaf of bread, baked with flour from the newly harvested crop, is traditionally taken to church on this day to be blessed, making Lammas "the feast of first fruits".

While Loaf Mass Day is historically a Christian holy day, Neopagans observe Lughnasadh around the same time.

Lammas was one of the traditional English cross-quarter days, the other three being Candlemas on February 2, May Day (May 1) and All Hallows' Day (November 1). Cross-quarter days fall approximately midway between solstices and equinoxes, which allowed the year to be divided into eight major seasonal subdivisions.
